I am sorry but I suspect no one knows the answer to my problem. I have talked with 3 Microsoft technicians on line and each gave me a different answer. Nothing helped including your suggestion. One Microsoft technician told me that Microsoft eliminated this option because it is redundant with hardware and sound option which is also false. I find it incredible that no one really knows what to do. I use Microsoft products since the 80's. I always loved windows. I always got accurate help from the company. Since windows 10 it is exactly the opposite. I will start checking Linux.

No. Its not there. There is troubleshoot audio playback, network adapters, connections, windows update etc...

Try these steps and check if that helps:

1. Type ‘Troubleshoot’ in Windows Start Search box > Click ‘Troubleshoot’.
2. Click Hardware & Devices > Run the Troubleshooter.

Alternatively, you can also try these steps:

1. Open Control Panel > Hardware and Sound > Configure a device.
2. Click on “View All” in the top left corner.

This will show the list of troubleshooters which are built-in to the computer. Click on Hardware and Devices from the list and you can run the troubleshooter.

As shown in my reply to Karpil Arya, there is no 'Hardware and Devices' and 'Configure a device' when I list 'view all' troubleshoot in my control panel. I tried pasting my control panel image here but it it doesn't work. I also did a live chat with Microsoft support 'Cherry', 'Dieu' and 'Bean' via remote and they too could not find them. They tried to do an inplace upgrade by downloading an ISO but could not go further as option to 'keep files and settings' is greyed out bacause my Windows 10 version is 1809 and the ISO is an earlier version. I do not understand why 'Hardware and Devices' and 'Configure a device' is not in my control panel. I have done 'sfc /scannow, 'dism /cleanhealth and /restorehealth and 'memory diagnostics' and all turn out fine.

Hello. I have the same problem exactly and tried the same things and it is definitely NOT there. Is this something that will be fixed? I upgraded to 1809 before all the trouble started but I had no problems but this.

Please read again the post. Hardware & Devices is not there on windows 10 1809. Will this be fixed or is Microsoft going to ignore this also like it does with Edge?
