Linx 12x64 | 5 pin keyboard malfunction

Hi everyone

I bought the Linx 12x64 12.5'' Tablet + Keyboard Cover a year ago from the Microsoft Store, and a couple of months back some keyboard keys stopped working.

I have tried cleaning the keys and formatting the tablet. I think it is a hardware issue. What are your thoughts?

I would be interested to hear from possible solutions (or causes) and ultimately to know where I can get a replacement.

Thank you for your help.

Jorge

List of keys that do not work from top to bottom to the best of my knowledge:

F1 F2 F3* F4 F5 F6 F7 F8 ... F10 ... F12

1 2 3 4 ... ** ... 7 8 9 0

*F3 works on its own (e.g. as a function within notepad) but not combined with the "Fn" key.

** 5 and 6 are the only numbers that work

*** I tested the keys in the Notepad, and other software I use daily (Microsoft Edge, Chrome, Word, etc.) The keyboard still does not work.

    Hi Douglas

Thank you for your reply. Unfortunately, I have not been able to solve the problem.

I Run the "Hardware and Devices" and "Keyboard" troubleshooters and got the following feedback respectively:

"Troubleshooting couldn't identify the problem" and "Troubleshooting has completed. No changes or updates were necessary".

This is most likely because the keyboard is running smoothly with the exception of the mentioned keys.

I also checked the Device Manager and searched online for the keyboard driver updates. It said that I am running the latest available.

I forwarded this issue to Linx support and expect a reply in the following days.

    Thanks for your help.

    Jorge

Maybe there is a compatibility issue Jorge, so, the other way is to reinstall the OS or install another version to discard.
