video editing in windows 8.1

Hi. Hope you can help me. I have windows 8.1. I cannot find a video editing software. Seems like there should be one, or could you point me to a free download?

    Hi Donna

    For basic video editing tasks, Windows Movie Maker is handy enough - that should be installed on Windows 8.1

    On your Start screen, in the Search box, type Movie Maker to see if that is already installed

    If not, you can get that form the links below:

    You can use a third party free editor such as OpenShot or Avid Media Composer | First - Free Video Editing Software - Avid
