Text showing up in italics when it should not be

Hello,

Recently, I've noticed that my computer is sometimes displaying fonts in italics when they should not be. While being online and using programs I have downloaded, text will display in italics when it should be regular text. I'm sure this is a font/Windows issue. Does anyone have a fix for this?

    Hi, Er0b0314,

Applications may have their own font choice. Check Application Settings.

When you're typing a reply into this form, is it in Italics?

    No but thanks for asking.

I think it’s something with what Windows thinks is my default font. This started happening in Chrome a few months ago and is now happening in other programs. Also I did check Chrome settings and it didn’t help.

    Segoe is the default font

    Run the following scans

When the scans are finished, launch an application and type. Does Italic font appear now?
