Hi,

Thank you for writing to Microsoft Community Forums.

Setting up Windows for the first time usually takes time, there should be an option to skip the set pin option, as you are not seeing the option, let’s try few troubleshooting steps and eliminate the root cause of the issue.

Method 1:

When you are setting up the account for the first time on the setup page, I suggest you setup the local account instead to Microsoft account and check. That should not get stuck on the pin screen, however you can convert the local account to Microsoft account later.

You can also try to following two methods.

Method 2:

  1. Try to disconnect all the unnecessary hardware connected to the system.
  2. If you have the USB connected, try to disconnect the USB and reboot the computer.
  3. If you are still not able to setup the system.

The system might be downloading and try to connect to network to update. 4. Try to disconnect the internet and reboot the computer, you can update the PC once it gets to the desktop screen.

Method 3:

  1. Boot Windows from same USB/Installation media that you use the install.
  2. When you get to Install Now screen.
  3. Click on Repair your PC.
  4. That will take you to Windows recovery environment.
  5. Navigate to Troubleshoot > Advanced options.
  6. Click on Startup Repair and repair the computer, this will fix the problem that keeps Windows from loading.

Hope it helps.
