2-the remote computer is turned off

3- the remote computer is not available on the network

so

i used “go to assiste”   Software and im fine remoting to the server .

and i Realized that i can remote to the server from the same computer at my house but on Different network( hotspot from my phone) and my phone is not connected to my wifi it was on LTE.

And then i connected my laptop to another network at my Friend house also i was able to remote to the server !

All the settings are the same the ports are open the firewall is off on the sever and my laptop,im just wondring whats wrong with my network and whats blocking me from remoting, although  i didnt change anything and i used to be able to remote to the same server ?

Can you help me,l?

    Hi Eddie,

please ask your network provider whether it blocks ports for remote access. Or if you have a router please check router's blocking settings.

Default RDP port - 3389. Quite often routers use NAT an in this case you need to create a port redirection - see router's manual.

In this case it is more effective to ask such questions at TechNet forum https://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-...

It is oriented to admins and corporate users, and this forum - to home users.

    HI Igor

We have 14 server they all have the same setup and the same ports in different locations,im able to remote to all of them except that one, i don't use the default 3389 ,i use 6555 for all of them.

Beside i used to be able to remote to that server from my house "same network same provider same setup"! so i don't know what happened.

I didn't change nothing on the router and i tried to turn it off-on,same thing i could't remote.

This problem been happening for couple weeks now and i can't find a solution for it,

Even ,a couple employees that they used to remote for home to work on that server now they can't.

and some of them they still able to remote, even tho i did't change nothing not even my manager.

And i tried updating the server and my laptop i tried turn off the RDP and turn on the firewall  and then turn on the RDP again also did't work,i tired alot of things but

im out of ideas i tried everything i can and i looked and googled all kind of things but i could't find anything that helped me with this .

    im avoiding resting my router

in the beginning i thought is probably i run a different version of RDP and the server runs an older version, but i made sure to update both and now im running :

    Shell Version 10.0.17134

Remote desktop protocol 10.5 is supported

    and the server running :

    Shell Version 6.3.9600

    Remote desktop protocol 8.1 supported

but also when  i remote from a different network it works fine on the same laptop so theres nothing that have to do with the version,so to be honest im out of ideas .
