I purchased Forza Horizon 4 from the Microsoft Store

But I am blocked to main menu when I try to start it.

Data sync and the loading is infinite there.

I faced this issue immediately after installing and first run.

I have finally fixed the problem. I kept Task manager open on top while running fh4 and when it was stuck on loading, i went to services tab in task manager and restarted all xbox services in the list one by one and closed task manager.

Then immediately fh4 screen comes back to press enter to proceed. And then it works, runs on 1080p / ultra settings.

I kept lan disabled while doing this so i guess it took over the locally saved data. Need to check online too in the same way. Hope it works..

My problem sounds simular. Ive already plaid the game for about 150 hours or so.

Suddenly the game files wouldn't save. I then reset the game. Now my files won't syncrhonize

Hello Nancy, my name is Alexander. I'm an Independent Advisor and I'm happy to assist you!

I suppose this issue is caused by Forza not being able to connect to the internet.

So, I recommend that you try setting an exception in the firewall. To do it, follow the methods below:

    Method 1: Reset the app.

    • Hold down ‘Windows+ I’ keys together on your Keyboard.
    • Press Apps -> tap on Apps & features on the right pane.
    • Scroll down and look for Forza horizon 4 from the list and tap on Advanced options.
    • Scroll down and choose Reset. (Resetting might delete the game progress and the points you have).

    Method 2: Allow firewall exception.

    • Hold down ‘Windows+ R’ keys together on your Keyboard.
    • Type in Control and click on Enter.
    • Tap on ‘System and Security’. Then, tap on ‘Windows firewall’.
    • Press ‘Allow an app or feature through Windows Firewall’ on the left pane.
    • You will see a list of several applications, to make changes tap on ‘Change settings.’
    • Now, you can select apps on your PC that you want to enable for communication over the Internet without being stopped by Firewall.
    • Click on the Private and Public checkbox to allow this communication.
    • Click OK and close the Windows Firewall window.

You might want to refer to the troubleshooting steps provided in the article ‘Fix problems with apps from Microsoft Store’.

If the issue persists, post Forza Horizon 4 query on Forza Horizon 4 forum.
