Hi,

This is a common problem in Windows 10.
Right-click the Taskbar>Task Manager>Processes tab>Locate Windows Explorer, right-click it and click Restart,
This browser is no longer supported.
Upgrade to Microsoft Edge to take advantage of the latest features, security updates, and technical support.
The icon displaying battery life percentage, whether my computer is charging, battery plan and power savings mode in the taskbar is missing. It is usually present in the bottom right next to the date but I can't see it anymore and it is not in the icon "^" that displays more either.
I have also opened display settings > Turn system icons on and off. Power is on and greyed out but not displaying in the corner. I found that I can see the battery percentage in the display settings > Battery overview but I'm hoping this is a temporary fix since this is a bit clunky and slow.

Hi Abby,
Open Device Manager (accessible by right clicking your Start Button)
Expand the Batteries section
For each device in that section:

Hi Sumit,
Thanks! The method worked for me as well but I have to do this every time I boot up my device.
Is there any permanent fix so that the battery icon stays even when I perform multiple reboots?
Hi Abby, I'm Graeme, an independent adviser here to help.
Firstly, I would see if the troubleshooter fixes the issue. Click Start and type "troubleshoot" then select the first result. Scroll down and choose Power. This may resolve the issue.
Otherwise, try resetting your power plan to default settings:

Lastly, if the icon still isn't showing up, try reinstalling your battery driver through Device Manager:
You could also see if the System File Checker helps:
Please let me know if you need further support! Thanks!
