I am on a 2017 Macbook Pro Touchbar, and I partitioned Windows 10 Pro on an external SSD, setup went fine, but when I got to the windows setup, it wouldn't let me move my mouse and the cursor didn't appear, the keyboard was also not responding. Therefore, I wasn't able to complete setup for windows. Anyone able to help?

I have had this issue before. To be honest the quickest way to get around this is grab a wireless or wired keyboard and mouse, plug it in. Windows will find the usb keyboard and mouse, like a logitech and you can continue with Andre's comments.

You need to run bootcamp on the mac side and make a windows drivers usb. I find it odd you have no keyboard, its usually the trackpad that is the PITA.

    Good luck.

    Hi Callum

Reboot into macOS, get a USB thumb drive with enough space, then follow the steps in the article to download all the necessary Windows Driver software:

    Hello all,

    Thanks for the help.

I have found out the issue, my external SSD won't connect to any components of my computer at all, including network, Bluetooth and everything else. I don't know how to fix this, but the external mouse and keyboard worked.

For now, I'll just stick to MacOS.

    Best regards,

    Callum.

    Hi Callum

I am trying to help you, but if you mark my replies as unhelpful, it makes it even more difficult to do so. Others will also be less willing to help you with your problem too.
