Just as stated in the subject/question, is it a good or bad thing to delete the 'compress your os device' files in the clean disk space. It holds 35 GB and I need some extra storage for other apps and documents, so I was wondering if I should delete those files or not, in case it might damage my pc.

Hello MereenaPun, my name is Irisdiel and I am an independent advisor.

It will compress all your files and will free up space.

However, this will require your computer to constantly uncompress any files before opening them, which will greatly reduce performance and is only really recommended for backups/data that is not used often.

You'll need to either keep deleting stuff you don't want or buy a new drive, I'm afraid.

    Hello Mereena,

Whether you check or not this box in cleanmgr won't change anything in my opinion.

To free space using compression, you need to compress C drive, what I Don't recommend.
