I have the same error.  I also run Comodo but from other posts it suggest the problem is Windows.  If it is Comodo then the error should tell us more.

In my case I get two event 16 following:  Error while updating (unknown) status to SECURITY_PRODUCT_STATE_ON.

    Defender if off.

Please don't suggest the solution is to remove Comodo and use Defender.  This is not a solution I am prepared to use and I shouldn't need to.  MS does not own the world and should not dictate to any of us the way we want to run OUR PC's

I've been having this same problem, since the very day this post was created, I have Webroot security with Defender off, so I doubt that is the case, I've tired at least a dozen and a half troubleshooting methods and have had no success.

HI Jugoslav ... are you using McAfee?

If so, this an event for that app.

I believe it is a McAfee issue and there is an update for their app.

Check their site to find out for sure.
