How am I supposed to fix windows 10 settings app

Ever since I upgraded my desktop PC to version 1809 the Settings app crashes while it tries to load. I tried sfc scan and re register the apps but didnt work.

    I have the same problem and this worked for me:

    Right click Start - Computer management - Local users and groups - users

    in the list on the right,  there will be a black downward arrow on the icon of the Administrator. Right click the icon, properties- uncheck the "disabled"

    then from the Start menu choose to log in the Administrator account.

    within this account the Settings run normally.

    check any updates, which in my case there were none.

    then switch back to your account. Find Settings there is OK too.

    I don't know which step actually accounted for this but it worth a try.

    I have the same problem. latest and greatest window-10

    Winver = 1809 17763.193

    for new account it works, old account it doesn't.

    MSHelp screwed up my system, It is profile corruption but no-one knows how to fix it.

    If you can log into Windows:

    To repair Windows without losing any data then you can try an in place upgrade repair:

    This will also upgrade you to the latest version of Windows - currently 1809.
