Runtime error while installing game, Windows 10

i hve tried to install games.. error happen after i open setup.exe

We understand how difficult it could be. The Isdone.dll is a dynamic link library file, which means that it has a specific function which the computer uses in order to complete various tasks. This particular DLL file is used by your computer when playing games. This issue can occur, if the DLL file is missing or corrupted.

In order to get clarity on the issue and assist you with appropriate steps, please reply with answers to the questions below.

  1. Does this issue occur with the installation of only one particular game or all the games?
  2. Are you aware of any changes on the computer prior to this issue?

Meanwhile, I would suggest you to follow the methods mentioned below and check if it resolves your issue.

Method 1: Register the .dill file.

  1. Press Windows key on your keyboard and type Command prompt.
  2. Right click and Run as administrator.
  3. Type regsvr32 Isdone.dll.
  4. Restart the computer and check.

Method 2: Copy the same file from different computer.

We would suggest you to copy the Isdone.dll file from another computer running the same version and edition of Windows operating system.

The location of the file Isdone.dll differs in each system, based on the architecture. if it is 64-bit Windows OS, then the Isdone.dll file is located in C:\Windwos\SysWOW64. If it is 32-bit OS, then KernalBase.dll file is located in C:\Windows\System32.

Method 3: Create anew user account.

The issue might also occur due to user profile corruption. Hence, in order to eliminate possibilities, I would suggest you to Create a local user or administrator account and check if the issue persists.

Note: You will not see all your file under your default file location. So your data will be saved under C:\Users\User_name.

    I am also facing this issue while installing games, also i have tried all the above solutions but still it doesn't work. please let me know if there is any other solution to resolve this issue.

    As an MS Agent and Moderator, you may want to know for future reference that the isdone.dll file is used only with  Pirated games,

    and is not a native Windows System32 file. Nor does isdone.dll come with any legitimate copy of a game.

    • Anyone seeking help for isdone.dll errors is asking for help to pirate software, which can lead to a ban from the forums,

    according to the terms of use.

    • Best place to get fixes for pirated games is a pirate forum. Not the official Microsoft forums (think about it).

    The pirates know what may have been broken by the hack.
