    Hi ton62

When you get that message, try restarting a few times to see if you will let you setup a proper account.

If not, do the following at the sign in screen.

Hold down the shift key on your keyboard while clicking the Power button on the screen.

Continue to hold down the shift key while clicking Restart.

Continue to hold down the shift key until the Advanced Recovery Options menu appears.

    Click Troubleshoot

    Click Reset this PC

    Click Remove Everything

    Fully clean the drive

    Click Reset

    Hello ton62,

I'm Independent Advisor, here to help you with your question.

    Try booting into Safe Mode:

This will allow you to login as built-in administrator, then you can safely delete defaultuser0 and create your own account:

    Hope this helps!

    Hi ton62

Sorry, that installation has not gone well, the defaultuser0 does not have a default password, you won't be able to access that

Did you perform a full clean install from the Windows 10 Installation Media or did you just reset Windows 10?

Rather than messing around trying to get into that user account, the best and quickest option is to reinstall Windows 10 again . . .
