Keyboard sometimes stops working randomly

Keyboard is a Gigabyte Force K85.

I have a problem that the keyboard sometimes stops responding to keystrokes, I don't know if this is a driver issue or a issue with the keyboard. At first I thought it only happened when I didn't use the keyboard for a while, happened 2 times, but now it also happened when I was playing CS:GO. This is a new keyboard, about 1 week old.

I have installed their keyboard software: Gigabyte K85 Tool (version: 1.13)

Firmware version: F14

This is in my Windows 10 logbook after I replug the keyboard in the USB:

    Hi Zkitzo

What is the exact make and model?

    Open Start, type: system information

    Hit Enter

    Click System summary

    Look in the right pane

Copy the system sku info into reply here.

    See example: https://imgur.com/qzektpA

If its a custom built computer, what is the make and model of the motherboard? It could be a sign you need to update the BIOS and or chipset drivers.

    Hi Zkitzo

I noticed there are some important updates for this system I recommend you apply:

    BIOS Update January 2019

    https://dlcdnets.asus.com/pub/ASUS/mb/LGA1151/R...

    Chipset Driver Update January 2019

    https://dlcdnets.asus.com/pub/ASUS/mb/03CHIPSET...

Please apply these updates to see if they help.

Thoroughly research any product advertised on the site before you decide to download and install it.

I have updated the Intel Management Engine Components (chipset) drivers and hope everything is resolved now... If not I will update the BIOS and try again.

If both don't resolve the problem I will report back.

    Thanks for your reply...

Yes it is a custom build computer, motherboard: Asus ROG Strix Z370-F Gaming

All the drivers are up do date as far as I know.

Only thing left is a BIOS update but I'm afraid that my O.C. settings won't work anymore (this happens a lot with BIOS updates).
