Outdated Intel drivers

I have a Lenovo ThinkPad X220, with an Intel(R) HD Graphics 3000 video card. However, according to Intel, the graphics card is discontinued as of June 24, 2016. The drivers for this card are over 1000 days old. Are there any alternative drivers I can get for this, I'm literally getting bullied and rejected by countless apps for this.

the last driver I found for Intel HD Graphics 3000 was from the MS Update Catalog - version 9.17.10.4459 dated 5/19/2016.

you'll have to use 7zip to extract the files from the cab file download and then use Device Manager to install or update the graphics drivers and reboot.

btw, Intel HD Graphics 2000 and 3000 are of the Sandy Bridge series and there were no specific Win10 drivers for those made by intel.

Alright. Figuring this out took some time, however, after asking Lenovo and Intel, I figured out that the reason some apps don't work on my PC is that my graphics card is very old. Back when I had Win 7, all apps worked without problems. However, now that I have Windows 10, most demanding Windows 10 apps(such as video editing software, and some games) require a better card. There aren't any better drivers either, it's completely up to date, just very old. Most people told me to just get a new computer or a new graphics card, which I have been considering. Thank you for your help in this matter.

Try running the Lenovo Auto Update utility to see if it can help though that is an older system.

For an older laptop is not very likely there are any other drivers available other than those from Lenovo/Intel.

I am Vijay, an Independent Advisor. I am here to work with you on this problem.

Are you facing any issue in your display? The drivers need to be downloaded from computer manufacturer's website. If there is any issue /need, they will come up with alternative driver which will be tested on this model.

Do let me know if you require any further help on this. Will be glad to help you.

Hi Roman, I am Dexter, an Independent Advisor, here to help you.

After research, I'm sad to tell you that there's no alternative 3rd-parted driver for old Intel Graphics Video Chipset, but could you tell me which app is rejected? I'll look further for you.

I hope this helps. Feel free to ask back any questions and let me know how it goes. I will keep working with you until it's resolved.
