After installing the latest feature update today, my notification sounds have been playing at the maximum volume, even though my volume level is set quite low. I would like to set the volume level back to normal, rather than getting rid of the sound altogether. However, as a last resort, I am willing to get rid of my windows notification sound. Please help, these sounds are extremely loud and a nuisance.

2019-02-24T23:01:36+00:00 This only changed my system sounds rather than the notification sounds, and merely lowered my audio. Even so, my notification sounds were extremely loud, even after setting my sound levels down.

2019-02-25T01:14:58+00:00 It appears this might be a bug in how Notifications work in Windows 10.
I would also recommend you file a bug report; send me the short link so I can vote on it and bring it to the attention of the Windows engineers.

When experimenting with other notifications, I have found out that it kind of boosts my notification sounds to an "earrape" (I had no other word to describe it) level. This lowers my sound quality for my notifications tenfold, and annoys me, as I am not able to experience the proper notification sounds. However, upon updating this device, I am able to adjust the sound levels of the system notifications. It appears that my issue has changed to terrible notification sound quality. I hope this made a difference!

2019-02-24T23:03:30+00:00 The only error that appears in the troubleshooter is to turn off sound effects and enhancements. I am not sure how to do so, as it opens up the settings for my sound. I would like to know if turning off sound effects and enhancements would damage my computer in any way.
