base system device driver not installed

HP computer in device manager says driver not installed. Base system device driver not installed. Anyone know how to fix this? For Windows 10.

    Hi richm

    What is the exact Model No. of your HP device - that will be printed on a sticker on the bottom casing . ..

    Open Device Manager (accessible by right clicking your Start Button)

    Right click that device and choose properties

    On the Details Tab, change the 'Property' drop down to 'Hardware ID's'

    Right click the top line in the resulting list and choose 'Copy'

    Paste that into your next post . . .
