Up probook didn't come with DVD rw drive I installed one where can I download driver free to get it to work

In that case, I think it's not worth to pay such 9.95 for only a driver which is not sure to be helpful. Due to your description, maybe the DVDRW drive you got is probably incapable for your HP probook, I checked the ebay.com, a brand new Slim Portable USB 2.0 Ultra External DVD-RW CD-RW Burner Writer Drive For PC MAC only cost 13.49. So I suggest you buy a new one instead of struggle with the old one.

Generally, the DVD rw driver doesn't need a specialized driver to get it to work. Windows will automatically recognize it and bring it to work.
If your DVD rw driver can't work, try to change a USB port of your laptop or reboot your Windows.

I installed DVDRW drive in hp probook that didn't have one a refurbished laptop. So it didn't come with drivers for the DVD rw CD drive player. Windows restart driver finder so on can't open it get it to work there's no dvdrw CD drive listed anywhere in Windows pc my computer this pc so on I know the system. At HP support it scanned for drivers showed I need DVD CD driver download charge is 9.95. Will this start the DVD rw drive even though the download is for a DVD CD drive. Should I do the download?
