Windows 10, Bluetooth on/off switch has disappeared.

I can no longer connect anything via Bluetooth to my laptop. All the speakers/headphones are still "paired" but they are greyed out and also says "bluetooth is off" I have tried rebooting as well as stopping and starting services in services.msc

What do I do?

There is no Bluetooth driver in the device manager. Where do I obtain the drivers?

Hi Jhertzig, I'm Graeme, an independent adviser here to help.

I'd recommend reinstalling your Bluetooth drivers, which may bring the on/off switch back. Here are the steps to follow:

    • Press Windows Key+X and choose Device Manager.
    • Find your Bluetooth adapter in the list.
    • Right-click it and choose Update Driver.
    • If that doesn't work, try uninstalling it and then scan for hardware changes to reinstall the driver.

Let me know how you go! Thanks!

    Hello jhertzig81,

I'm Independent Advisor and Microsoft MVP, here to help you with your question.

    Please refer following suggestions:

Run Bluetooth troubleshooter from Settings app > Update & security > Troubleshoot. If that doesn't helps, do this:

    1. Press Windows + X, select Device Manager.
    2. Under Device Manager, right click on your Bluetooth device/driver and select Uninstall. Click OK.
    3. Then click Action > Scan for hardware changes.
    4. Close Device Manager and reboot.

If this doesn't helps, refer additional suggestions mentioned here:
