Click on Русский, click on Параметры (settings), click on Добавить клавиатуру (add keyboard), you'll see a list of keyboard layouts.

I have installed the Russian language pack on my computer but I want to use a phonetic keyboard i.e. one in which the Russian letters correspond phonetically to English letters. Please can you tell me how to do this. Thank you.

You need to add Русская (мнемоническая) ЯШЕРТЫ keyboard layout in Russian language settings. Than you may remove usual Russian keyboard layout.

I go to settings - language settings - change the default to Russian - click on keyboard settings and it doesn't offer me alternative keyboards. Can you give me step by step instructions - thanks.
