hi,

It happened before that when I plugged in my USB drive to my laptop, I got a message from Windows Defender that there is a virus but blocked it or put under quarantine. I had it taken care of. I think it is something like autorun... I reformatted my USB drive and put all my doc. and folders back in. What caused it and how to prevent it from happening in the future?

    Hi Paul

It looks like you are in the clear, since the scans found nothing, just watch in the future to make sure that Autorun file does not re-appear . . .

I full scanned my device, but stopped with a little left and Defender found no viruses, etc.

I just remembered, I plugged in my drive to another computer. That computer has a different antivirus software. It scanned my drive but found no issues. So???

If I download and install Malwarebytes, will it interfere with Defender or cause issues with it? So, you recommended it.

    hi,

Does that mean running a full scan of my PC? What if no viruses, etc. are found?
