Windows 10 Laptop (Acer) stuck at the loading screen with the dots. (I've tried everything!)

Hello. So recently, I've experienced an issue involving my Windows 10 Acer Laptop. Before this, I was just playing some games on my laptop, but suddenly, it turned off. So I knew it was about the battery so I immediately charged it. When I tried to boot it up, I found that it won't. It was infinitely loading. I turned off turned on about 2 or 3 times but to no effect. I tried to see if the advanced options menu showed up, but it didn't. I tried pressing alt+f10 for my computer to go back to factory defaults, as it is a command in the Acer laptop, but it still WON'T! So I heard about reinstalling windows with media creation tool. I got my friend's computer, downloaded it as an ISO File, then, I made it as a bootable USB with the Rufus program, as, it seemed to fix other people's computers, which is the infinite loading bug. So after downloading it as a bootable USB, I ejected the USB (Safely), plugged it in my laptop, then booted it up. So in my surprise, the download won't start! It was just stuck at the Acer loading screen! So I felt to ask help from you people. My hard disk drive is about 2-3 years, as I bought this in 2016. Could it be a dead hard disk drive? Or a virus? (Even though I already have avast antivirus). I will try ANY solution you would give to me so that I will save money by not taking it to a repair shop. But if I REALLY need to, I will take it to the repair shop.

Specs of my non-working laptop:

Acer e5-475g

CPU: Intel i3-6100u

GPU: Intel HD graphics 520

RAM: 4 GB

    Hi RandomGuywhoenjoyspc

I am Vijay, an Independent Advisor. I am here to work with you on this problem.

    A. Try to boot into safe mode

Power ON your computer and as Windows / manufacturer's Logo appears, Power OFF - Repeat 3 times

Now your computer will go into Advanced Recovery Environment

Advanced Options > Troubleshoot > Advanced Options > Startup Settings > Restart

Press 4 or F4 to enable Safe Mode (5 or F5 to enable Safe Mode with Networking)

Log in once Windows starts in safe mode

See whether you able to login. If yes, come out of this and start normally.

If you are not able to boot like above, You will need to boot through a Bootable USB drive. You will need to create this on another computer which is working - https://www.tenforums.com/tutorials/2376-create...

How to Boot from a USB Flash Drive in Windows 10 - https://www.tenforums.com/tutorials/21756-boot-...

    B. Another option when you are in Advanced Options in previous step is to choose (Note - You won't lose any files in this step)

    1. System Restore - This will restore your system to a point when things were working fine.

    OR

    1. Startup Repair - Startup Repair upgrade fixes all Windows errors and retains all files, applications and settings.

    C. Penultimate option could be Reset this PC.

In Step A > Troubleshoot > Reset this PC - Keep my files and Remove everything. Choose this carefully as most likely you would like to keep your files.

All apps will be removed and windows will be reinstalled.

    D. Steps B & C (Restore and Reset) can also be performed from Media creation tool if they can't be done as above. You will have to cut Media creation tool on another computer.

Refer to the section "Use installation media to restore or reset your PC "

    E. Last option could be a clean Install. This is the best method to perform a clean install of Windows 10. (If you want to rescue your files, there is a section Rescue Files when Windows Won't Start)

    Hello, Everyone!

So after waiting a while, i got a BSOD which the stop code was Driver Power State Failure. So I learned that it happened after it went to "Sleep" Mode, which explains the sudden turning off of the Laptop because of low battery. I originally thought that the problem was the Hard disk, but thanks to Sumit, I learned that it wasn't.

Hello, my name is Bradford and I would like to contribute alongside my colleagues to solve your issue.

When you connect the bootable USB drive to your computer, were you sure to "override the boot order" so that your computer starts up from the USB drive instead of the faulty hard drive?

When you start the computer, when the manufacturer logo is displayed, at that moment you would press "F2" to enter your BIOS where you can change the boot order to the USB drive first.

Also, instead you can press "F12" and manually select to the USB drive plugged in to startup from it.

This will enable Windows setup to startup from the USB thumb drive.

In case you may need to change hard drives or make other changes in the future after noting the disclaimer the link below is the instructions from ACER on changing on your devices boot order.

Hi, Vijay! Unfortunately, all of your solutions won't work on mine. I already created a bootable usb, but when I put it in the healthy computer, it can't access the setup thingy for windows 10. I can't access the advanced options as well.

    Hi,
I am Sumit, an Independent Advisor and a 2-Year Windows Insider MVP here to help.

It looks like a bad hardware most probably hard drive. Please run Seatools USB and perform short DST and long DST tests.
