Large white bar at top or bottom of maximized applications/windows

Hi,

Several users in my organization (Windows 10, updated to latest 1809 version, on recent Dell computers) have the following issue: when maximizing a window (Chrome, Slack, Adobe Acrobat, etc.), they see a large white band at the top, sometimes at the bottom, of the maximized window. When at the top, for example, the entire upper part of the window in not only hidden by the bar, but also unclickable. In fact, when one clicks on it, it actually acts as if one clicks on the desktop behind of the window even though this application is maximized.

Can anyone help get rid of this very annoying bug?

Thank you in advance.

Hi everyone, we have RDS Server 2016 with desktop experience and the users are experiencing this issue, sometimes they get a white bar on top of chrome, firefox, explorer.

Changing the resolution of the screen or pressing F11 twice resolves the issue.

We have a GPO disabling the hardware  acceleration but it's still happening.

The first question, is why is this happening randomly?

And the second question, what can we do to prevent it from happening?

One question: There are different types of values that can be added when I right click on right panel. Which kind should I select?

    FYI

That what the 'Independent Advisor' GaneshGandhi1982 posted was originally posted here: https://www.reddit.com/r/Windows10/comments/8h3eqo/windows_1803_white_bar_across_top_of_maximized/e6jmid9/

It is also mentioned elsewhere, for example in this thread:

Windows 10, multi Monitor, maximized window blank/empty space on top of screen

Suggest reading the above thread. Perhaps it helps...

Note: I'm not a Windows 10 user myself, so I cannot help further ;)
