A small blue horizontal line across top of screen has appeared.   It doesn't flash or flicker and it appears right on the home screen and also stays present on any other opened windows.

Hi , I am Dexter, an Independent Advisor, here to help you.

Does this line look like from the pic I attached(It's vertical in the pic)?

If so, there's a hardware problem with your monitor, probably the LCD screen is damaged, so you should have your monitor repair or replace.

I hope this helps. Feel free to ask back any questions and let me know how it goes. I will keep working with you until it's resolved.

    Hi,

A thin Horizontal line usually indicate a hardware issue such as a loose cable or if a PC the GPU could need to be reseated. Of course it could be a internal monitor problem which usually means replacement.

Check with the GPU and System makers' support and forums.

You could try installing or re-installing the latest drivers though that is very unlikely to help since you can't fix hardware with software.

    Rob

Sorry for the miss-typing, the line is horizontal in the pic with the blue color.

So, your monitor is actually bad. This is a hardware problem.
