Issues with connecting Bose QC 35 2 with Windows 10

Dears,

Windows 10 doesn't connect to Bose QC 35 (2). Tried every possibly troubleshooting step available out there but of no help. I am using a Dell XPS 13 (2018 model) running on Windows 10.

  • Bluetooth drivers updated
  • Unpair and repaired Bluetooth device
  • Uninstalled Bluetooth drivers and reinstalled
  • Updated Windows 10 to the latest version

Any help would be of real help, please.

Thanks in advance!

    Hi Abhi.C

My name is Andre Da Costa; an Independent Consultant, Windows Insider MVP and Windows & Devices for IT MVP. I'm here to help you with your problem.

Can you try performing the pairing using Devices and Printers?

    Press Windows key + R

    Type: control printers

    Click Add a device

It happened to me once so you might try this.  Disconnect and Remove the Headset from the Bluetooth Devices.

Then open the Device Manager and set it to show hidden devices.

Look in the Sound, video, and game controllers and uninstall any Bose devices there.  Then go into the Audio inputs and outputs and Bluetooth and remove any Bose devices there.  Once all those are gone, you may want to reboot and then try pairing again.

I was referring to the classic Control Panel, but it seems this issue affects there too.

Try this suggestion I found on the BOSE forum:

Turn the headset off and wait for 30 seconds.

Plug the headset into a USB power supply via USB cord and wait 5 seconds. (Power supply needs to be plugged into the wall with power on).

Unplug USB cord from headset and wait 1 minute.

Turn on the headset and test if the headset works properly.

After you do the reset let's clear the pairing list. To clear the list just slide the power switch all the way to the right towards the Bluetooth symbol and hold it there for about 10 seconds, you should hear a voice prompt letting you know that the list is cleared. At this point make sure to fully delete the headphones from your device's paired lists as well.

    Hi Andre,

Thanks for your suggestion. Of course, I tried pairing the headset and it doesn't pair. That's where all this problem started.
