Hi MichaelVasquez1.
First of all, we must know what the current configuration of our network card is and take into account at what speed it is currently working or if it is incorrectly configured. So, if the situation were this, we would have to do something about it. The steps to be carried out, in this case, would be the following:
- Go to the taskbar icon and locate the Internet icon
- Click on Network and Internet Settings
- Once inside, click on Ethernet
- Click on Change adapter options
- We get the network cards we have on the computer. We double click on Ethernet. We see that it tells us the speed within the information. They can be 100 Mbps or 1Gbps. If it is the second, everything is fine, but if it is the first one, you have to configure it.
We have to configure it to 1Gbps. The steps to follow are these:
- In the window where the speed was indicated, click on properties
- Make sure that the Microsoft Network Client option is checked
- We click on configure
- We go to advanced options and look for Speed & Duplex
- We have to change the value by 1.0 Gbps Full Duplex
- Press accept
