TextNow Free App on Windows Store

TextNow Free App on Windows Store is for free calling and texting , This App works like clockwork on Apple and Android devices free of charge, yet on Windows 8- 10 phones it is a $ pay app . This is a mistake because I am disabled, like many people , stay home on WiFi the majority of the time. I can't use thistle app . I have Apple , Android & Windows phones ,which all have TextNow App , however, Windows Store is the only one that charges $ for using this App. I suggest this TextNow App be completely free to help disabled people . After all, Apple and Android are free. Furthermore, it would help low-income and social security people, which is a large customer base. Why wouldn't Microsoft want to help these; disabled, low income and social security people and why wouldn't TextNow do the same ?

    Hey there, SmartLumia640LTE

Welcome to the Microsoft community forums.

As a student with developer subscription for Windows marketplace, I can safely say it isn't Microsoft who is charging you for this app. It is the developers/publishers themselves that are able to set the price of the app in set regions.

I would contact the developers and publishers, as they have more power to change the prices of the app. Although Microsoft owns the Windows Marketplace, they don't change prices of apps without the authors consent. They mainly leave it up to the author to make those changes.

    Hope this helps,

    Regards,
