Whenever I receive an email with an emoji, the emoji appears as a series of letters/numbers (\uD83D\uDC4D for example) Windows 10 does this on my HP PC and my Lenova laptop. It shows correctly on my Android phone. They all use Cable One and Microsoft echo. The only difference is the operating system.

    Hello,

Windows Defender is at least as efficient as Norton without all issues caused by Norton.

    So just uninstall Norton

    Hi Kenneth

My name is Andre Da Costa; an Independent Consultant, Windows Insider MVP and Windows & Devices for IT MVP. I'm here to help you with your problem.

I noticed you are on an older version of Windows 10, try upgrading to the newer Windows 10 1809 to see if it resolves this problem.

First, try upgrading using the Windows Update Assistant:

    https://www.microsoft.com/en-in/software-downlo...

If that does not work, upgrade offline using the ISO file, it is more reliable.

Please be advised some users are reporting issues with the Windows 10 1809 update. Make sure you backup before attempting to upgrade:

What is the make and model of your computer?

Have you checked the manufacturers website to determine compatibility?

    Hello,

    >My antivirus software is Norton

Uninstall this AV which causes so many troubles !

    Then upgrade to 1809

Uninstall temporary but completely any third antivirus.

Clean your drive using cleanmgr command in admin mode.

Type cleanmgr in Windows search area + Enter.

    > Right click on Disk cleanup > Run as administrator.

    Hi Patricia.

I don't think the problem is in my basic PC. The same problem also exists in my Lenovo 17" laptop

My computer is an HP Pavilion 580-1xx

I have Windows 10 Home version 1803 with all the updates

    My antivirus software is Norton.

I will try to upgrade the graphics card in one of them to see if that helps

    Thanks,
