Does Windows 10 to Go work with USB 2.0?

I'm planning to create a Windows to Go drive, but my external drive enclosure has only USB 2.0. Would that be a problem impacting performance in a big way, (e.g, playing a simple, light Roblox game), or would it work fine, with a little less performance? I'm choosing an external drive, as I don't think my USB Pendrive would have enough storage/speed for something like Roblox.

    Hi PriyaAravamuthan,

I'm Stefano an Independent Advisor, here to help you.

Windows to Go fully supports USB 2.0 (https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/deploy...)

Obviously you will see a different performace between USB 2.0 (max speed 480 Mbit/s) and USB 3.0 (max speed 5 Gbit/s). There is a 10 times gap between the two USB kind.

I would suggest you to buy an external drive with USB 3.0, if you want to be sure that your system would be fast.

    Hi Priya

Yes, Windows to Go will run from a USB 2.0 drive, though performance would be better with a USB 3.0 drive and port on the PC it is connected to . . .
