Windows 10 Installation Stuck in a Loop

I’ve dowloaded an ISO from the official Microsoft download, and loaded it into Oracle’s Virtual Box. After some struggles, I was able to go through the setup process (Welcome, Basics, Network, Account) all the way to Services.

It asks if I want Cortana, which I accept, and some privacy things, and then says, “Just a moment...”

After a bit, it sends me right back to the “Basics” tab asking me if my region is correct. I’ve gone through the process 3 times, but each time I get the same result.

Is there any way to fix this? I’ve looked online (literally for hours) to no avail.

Try a 32 bit ISo, requiring less resources

The ISO is for the 64 bit version of Windows. Is this an issue?

The computer I’m running it on is 64 bit

I’m alright with it being slow, I won’t be using it for anything super intensive.

    The VM was setup normally.

I gave it 2GB of RAM (out of the 4GB my computer has) and 2 processors (I cannot give it more as my computer only has 2). It has 30GB of fixed storage.

The computer I’m running the VM on is a late 2009 iMac running macOS High Sierra.

I don’t currently have an activation key, so no, it has not been activated.

I downloaded the ISO from the same link you provided (the October update).
