I have tried working with the replacement "Photos" and have been disappointed. First, It takes a lot more clicks to accomplish what I want to do, like cropping. Second, I have not found a way to auto-adjust a group of selected photos. Third, although I can manually adjust brightness and saturation, I have not found a way to manually adjust the color (e.g., red/blue, green/purple).
In the replacement for movie maker, I can't select multiple photos for the video storyboard. Instead, I need to drag and drop each individual photo into the storyboard. And I don't think I can custom add music as I used to (e.g. choose when a song begins and ends).
Plus, opening "Photos" take a long time. The default is "Collection," which seems to access all my photos in chronological (probably over 10,000), which I never need to do. And going to "video projects" and starting a new project is very slow.
It's hard for me to believe that Microsoft consulted any users of the old programs before changing things so radially. This is why I (and a lot of other users) want the old programs back.
But if I am wrong about my observations, please let me know. I have searched the web for info about the new program and have not found anything indicating it can do what I want from the old programs.
