Hello my name is Brad and I'm an Independent Advisor for the Microsoft Community and I wanted to assist my colleagues on fixing your issues with accessing the internet via your LAN's proxy server.
I think the best way to resolve this is to start with the simpler methods first.
Let's first begin by resetting your IP address and proxy settings by following these steps:
- Press "Windows Key+R" (this opens the Run dialogue)
- Type
cmdand be sure to press "Ctrl+Shift+Enter" (this run automatically run the command line as an Administrator, if you don't press the key combination, the command line won't have the rights to run the next steps). - Type
ipconfig/releaseand press enter. wait a few seconds then - Type
ipconfig/renewand press enter. Please wait for the command to complete. - Type
exitand press enter to close the command line. - Test and see if the programs other than Google Chrome can access the internet.
Please let me know if the above process helps and if it doesn't we'll try a different solution.
