No option to connect to a wireless display on windows 10

As the title states, the option to connect to a wireless display is not present on my "project" screen.  Windows support (unsurprisingly) proved to be completely unhelpful, so I'm hoping someone here will know what might fix this.

If your answer is yes, let's try to discard drivers cards issues:

    Open Device Manager

Right click on the Start menu icon

Select Device Manager from the list

Open the View menu in Device Manager and select the "Show hidden devices" option

    Expand the Network Adapters section

Look for the "Microsoft Wi-Fi Direct Virtual Adapter"

Right click on any of the adapters that have a warning icon (yellow triangle with an exclamation point) and select uninstall

Click the Ok button to confirm

Restart your computer once the driver is uninstalled.

Once restarted, use the Project menu (Win + P keys) to connect to your wireless display.

Yes, both devices support miracast, I actually meant to include that in my original post and forgot.

Even after showing hidden devices in the device manager, there is no "Microsoft Wi-Fi Direct Virtual Adapter", nor are there any devices with warning icons.

As I've already said in my individual responses to your answers, none of your solutions have solved my problem.  After trying the things you've suggested the option to connect to a wireless display is still not present.

    The version is 1809

That's exactly where I've been looking for it all this time.  I only looked elsewhere after I was told to.
