How do I create a playlist in Groove Music from my music library with songs copied across to each playlist.

Thanks tried that and could not find the music or playlist in all my disks.

windows media player is still installed, click start, type media player and select windows media player from the list. you can then add tracks to the playlist from file explorer context menu.

try searching the disk for a track name in file explorer, to see if the files got moved somehow.

I agree that it is a little surprising, when we can still add to a windows media player playlist but not groove.

you could use the feedback hub to make the suggestion to the development team (winkey+f)

deleting tracks from a playlist should not delete them from you library, I have just tried and have been unable to replicate that issue, the track remained in the music library and in 'My music' (in groove) and was only removed from the playlist, as expected.

to add music to your playlists, select 'My Music' from the left hand flyout

click on the desired track and click the +

click on the playlist.

tracks remain in 'my music' and can be added to more than one playlist.

note, no music is stored in Groove, your music remains in your library folders, playlists are simply lists of files not the music files themselves.

hope that makes sense, please let me know if I have misunderstood the issue

Many thanks for your response, I deleted the songs in my song list in Groove and it deleted the songs in my library, not sure how this happened. Thank you for your response and I will try and do it again. I am amazed that you cannot add a playlist in Groove directly from your folder.
