Error 1608: The dependency service or group failed to start. (Services > Task Scheduler enabling)

I'm trying to update my NVIDIA graphic driver, but I keep getting the error claiming that the Windows Task Scheduler service should be enabled to continue. I proceed to services.mscas an administrator.

The Task Scheduler service is enabled, and on automatic. However, the service status has been stopped. Whenever I try to start it, I get the following error:

What can I do to fix this? Thanks in advance.

You need to click the Dependencies tab to find out which of the listed services failed. Examining the Event Viewer (eventvwr.msc) might also help.

Yeah, some of the dependent services were not running. Thanks a lot!
