Unable to connect

If you are unable to load any pages, check your computer’s network connection.

If your computer or network is protected by a firewall or proxy, make sure that Firefox is permitted to access the Web.

    Hi Susan

My name is Andre Da Costa; an Independent Consultant, Windows Insider MVP and Windows & Devices for IT MVP. I'm here to help you with your problem.

Just to isolate the problem, could you check if this also happens in Microsoft Edge or Internet Explorer?

    Press Windows key + R

    Type: iexplore

    Hit Enter

    Try browsing the web site.

I would also try clearing your Firefox Cache:

How to clear the Firefox cache | Firefox Help - Mozilla Support

    https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/how-clear-...

    Still not working?

    Open Start, type: CMD

    Right click CMD

    Click Run as administrator

Type in at the prompt OR Copy and Paste these one at a time : (Hit enter after each)

    ipconfig /flushdns

    ipconfig /registerdns

    ipconfig /release

    ipconfig /renew

    NETSH winsock reset catalog

    NETSH int ipv4 reset reset.log

    NETSH int ipv6 reset reset.log

I opened it from the link you provided in this thread.

I would try performing an upgrade to Windows 10 1809 to see if it resolves this problem.

Which email service are you using?

If its a Web Mail service such as Gmail or Outlook.com or a local ISP.

Type the URL in Internet Explorer

    Hit Enter

Load the message then click the link.

OK you have to bear with me b/c I am not that familiar with this computer and Windows 10. Have it for 3 weeks. OK now it just took me 15 minutes and a Youtube video to find Internet Explorer on this computer. But now that I found it I cannot tell if it would work on IE b/c it comes to me as an email in my account on firefox/mozilla. So how to I get that email over to IE to check if it will open there? I am not clearing my cache again as I did that a week ago and it did nothing but erase so much of my stuff. Thanks.

It is updating next month to Windows 10 version 1903 or 19H1 so I will wait. I seriously don't think it will help. Thanks.
