" ... would not work" can mean a whole lot of things, and I'm not one to presume or guess. You can always go to your model's web page on Logitech's website for support and for the most recent software. Nobody knows Logitech webcams like Logitech.
Older version of Logitech Web Cam
I have an older version of a Logitech Web Cam which I have been using for years with no problem. I recently had to re-install just about every thing on my tower. When all done I discovered that the Web Cam would not work. Does anyone know of a fix for this or should I just heave it?

there are hundreds of "older" Logitech webcams, some are compatible with windows 10, some are not., which model is it?
have you looked on https://support.logitech.com/en_us/category/web... for drivers?
did you experience any error message when you plugged it in?
is there any problem reported in device manager?
right click on start and select device manager
look for yellow triangle.
