    I am sorry, Windows Media Player cannot edit videos . . .

    Windows 10 contains a video editor in the Photos App, please see the link below on how to do that:

    If that App does not have the features you need, you will need to use a 3rd party application for video editing . . .

    WMP is a video player not an editor. Windows 10 doesn't provide a video editor. But if you go to Microsoft Store, you will find plenty of free video editors on Microsoft store. You search for keyword Video Editor or Movie Creator. You can download any and edit your video without paying any penny and also do the job with a Microsoft certified app without any risk.
