    Hi upbasher

That functionality is not provide by Windows, it is provide by the included Sound Processing Software supplied by the manufacturer of your PC . ..

What is the Make and exact Model No. of your PC - that will be printed on a sticker on the bottom casing . . .

    Hi, Upbasher,

    I am an Independent Advisor.

I believe somewhere during Windows 10 upgrades the acoustics software included with Realtek was removed.

    Launch File Explorer

    Click on This PC

    Click on Drive C

    Select Program Files

Right Click on RtkNGui64.exe > Select Properties

    Select Compatibility Tab

Select Windows 7 from dropdown menu

    Select Run As Administrator

    Click Apply, Ok

On my Windows 10 unit this did not load.

    Launch Windows Store

Type Sound Effects into the Search Engine

There are several Free as well as Costly Apps available.
