Want to Make Windows Media Player my Default player

Step 1: Go to the Start menu and click on the configuration application to run it.

Step 2: Here you will find the System menu with options such as Display, Notifications and Power. Click here

Step 3: In the left panel, you will find a default application option. Click on this tab and scroll down to where you'll find the music player section.

Step 4: If you have not already changed it, Groove Music would be the default music player. Now you only need to change the default application from Groove Music to Windows Media Player. You can do it by clicking on the Groove Music icon to choose an application to replace it with, and here you choose the Windows Media Player icon to make it the default music player.

To Make Windows Media Player default on Windows 10 follow this steps:

Step 1: Open Start menu, click Settings icon to open Settings app.

Step 2: Click System (Display, notifications, apps, power).

Step 3: Click Default apps. Scroll down to see Music Player section.

Step 4: As you can see, Groove Music is the default music or media player on Windows 10. In order to change the default player to Windows Media Player, click on the Groove Music entry to see Choose an app, click on Windows Media Player entry to make it as the default music player on Windows 10.
