How can I permanently turn off Microsoft Compatibility Telemetry?

Hi. I have a laptop with Windows 10 Pro and want to permanently turn off Microsoft Compatibility Telemetry because it consumes a lot of resources. I already tried disabling 3 tasks from the Task Scheduler: Application Experience, Autochk and Customer Experience Improvement Program (check out the screenshot below). However, after a while somehow those tasks re-enable themselves out of nowhere, and Microsoft Compatibility Telemetry starts running again against my will. I have even gotten to the point of explicitly deleting those tasks from the Task Scheduler. However, after a while, maybe a couple days, I unexpectedly hear my laptop's fan running full speed, I open the Task Manager to check out what's going and voila! Microsoft Compatibility Telemetry is running again with very high disk and cpu usage. I scratch my head and open the Task Scheduler to see if the tasks are still deleted and .. guess what, they re-installed themselves again. This pattern has repeated dozens of times. Does anybody know how to permanently disable Microsoft Compatibility Telemetry, once and for all?

    The Windows Compatibility Telemetry is a service in Windows 10 which contains technical data on how the device and its related software is working. It periodically sends the data to Microsoft for future improvement of the system and to enhance the user experience. To sort out your concern, you may disable this service from the Task Scheduler by following the steps below:

    1. Click Start, type Task Scheduler, and then press Enter.
    2. On the TaskScheduler window, go to this path: Task Scheduler Library\Microsoft\Windows\Application Experience.
    3. On the Application Experience folder, look for Microsoft Compatibility Appraiser.
    4. Right-click on it, select Disable, and then confirm to complete the process.
    5. Once you’re done, you may check if the issue persists.

    Hi Sally.

    The steps you have just recommended are, if you read carefully the body of my post, exactly what I have done dozens of times. I have both (1) disabled and (2) deleted the task you mentioned dozens of times, but somehow the task re-enables itself like the Phoenix from the flames every time. Do you know if there is a builtin program in Windows 10 that automatically re-enables the Microsoft Compatibility Appraiser task even when it has been explicitly disabled / deleted in the Task Scheduler?
