Any way to copy a full network path on Windows 10?

I have a folder on the network on my locally mapped drive, I need to copy/paste the "full network path" so colleagues on the network can access it

But whilst the full network path is displayed in the address bar, what is pasted back is my local mapped drive path which is no good to others

This seems to be a bug

Any way to copy a full network path on Windows 10?

    Hello,

    Please try these steps:

    1. Open Command Prompt.
    2. Type net use command and press Enter.
    3. You should now have all mapped drives listed in the command result. You can copy the full path from the command line itself.
    4. Or use net use > drives.txt command and then save the command output to a text file. Open it with Notepad and then copy the full path from there.

    Hope this helps!

    Nope that's not right

    1/ You are not using a mapped network drive

    2/ Whilst you can copy the full network path, what will be pasted back is the mapped drive pass

    Try creating a mapped network drive them try that again and you'll see it's bugged

    Don't make mapped drives here, but I do make network locations - path is the same \location\folder , icons are different.

    Go to the folder on the network, hold down the Shift key, right click and choose Copy as path?

    Your mapped drive doesn't mean anything to other computers - its only mapped for you to have a drive letter for it on your computer.

    Write it down on notepad, copy it - press WinKey+V and pin it.   Now you can copy and paste it all you want.

    -> No.

    Any way to copy a full network path on Windows 10?

    -> Sure:

    1. Open File Explorer
    2. Click Network
    3. Open your own PC ("Spring" in my case)
    4. Click the share whose path you need
    5. Single-click well to the right of the address in the address bar (\Spring\DriveD in my case). This will highlight the full network path of the share.
    6. Press Ctrl+C to copy it.
