Connecting Nintendo Switch via HDMI to Laptop running Windows 10

I have tried to connect Nintendo Switch via HDMI but it is not being recognised.  Laptop running Windows 10.

    Your laptop cannot act as a TV screen for another device. The HDMI port on your laptop is HDMI OUT only.

    Hi Sam

    I am sorry, that will not work, the HDMI ports on laptops and PC's are for output only, you cannot input video through those HDMI ports . . .
