How to message to another system on the same network

Hello.

I'm trying to send a message to another pc on the same network, 

I tried using the msg command: 

msg remoteComputerUsername /server:remoteComputerNameOrIp "Hello"

This is supposed to be a simple and straight forward command. However i can't get it to work. 

I've also set the AllowRemoteRPC to 1 in the registry: HKLM/System/CurrentControlSet/Control/Terminal Server on both of my computers (however i believe it should be set only on the computer that should receive a message). 

How to make this command work? If this command doesn't work, then how do i send a message through cmd on a lan computer?

    I understand that you are facing issue with sending message to another PC on the same network, I would suggest you follow the below steps and check if it fixes the issue.

    1. In the search box on the taskbar, type cmd in the and then right-click or press and hold Command Prompt.
    2. Tap or click Run as administrator.

    Type:  msg username /server:servername /time:seconds /v /w /? messagetext

    msg sessionname /server:servername /time:seconds /v /w /? messagetext

    msg sessionID /server:servername /time:seconds /v /w /? messagetext

    msg @filewithnames /server:servername /time:seconds /v /w /? messagetext

    msg * /server:servername /time:seconds /v /w /? messagetext

    If the above step doesn’t solve the problem, let me point you in the right direction where you will be able to get the support for the issue that you are facing.
