You can not use it as RAM. You can use it as ReadyBoost (see your other replies), but I recommend against it. In my experience, ReadyBoost is useless and does nothing.

2019-06-04T20:00:45+00:00 Hi!
My name is German, and I am here to help you.
I would suggest you to try the following steps and check if it helps.
- Plug the flash drive into a USB port on your computer.
- In the AutoPlay dialog box, choose Speed Up My System.
- The flash drive’s Properties dialog box appears with the ReadyBoost tab upfront.
- Click on ReadyBoost tab.
- Choose the Use This Device option.
- Click OK.
Note:
ReadyBoost uses the Superfetch service that should be enabled and set to "Running" and "Automatic".

Any other questions I am at your disposal.
Have a great day!

Insert that USB Flash drive into your PC
Open Windows File Explorer (folder icon on your Start Menu)
On the left, click 'This PC'
On the right side, right click your USB Flash Drive and choose Properties
On the resulting dialog, choose the ReadyBoost Tab
Form there you can set the whole drive (depending on its size) or part of that drive to be used to speed your PC . .
Please Note, it has been my experience that this 'ReadyBoost' feature results in little if any performance boost or any other sort of improvement in a PC system . . .
When you are using that Music Editing software, open Task Manager (Ctrl + Shift + Esc)
On the processes Tab of Task Manager, is your RAM (Memory) at 100% ?
If so, then I would suggest upgrading the RAM in your system would be a much better thing to do, than using the 'ReadyBoost' feature . . .

2019-06-05T14:23:47+00:00 Yes. And I'll add to your last sentence that that mostly depends on what programs you run and how big are the files you open with them.
