    Hi Amy

    Open Windows Defender Security Center

Go to Virus & threat protection - Virus & threat protection settings

Scroll down to Controlled folder access

Temporarily turn off Controlled Folder Access and check to see if you can install Apple Mobile Device Support

Please do not leave Controlled Folder Access turned off permanently

    Hi Amy

My name is Andre Da Costa; an Independent Consultant, Windows Insider MVP and Windows & Devices for IT MVP. I'm here to help you with your problem.

I recommend you completely uninstall Apple software then download and install iTunes from the Microsoft Store. You should then be able to connect and browse your Apple devices.

    Get iTunes - Microsoft Store
