Viewing CCTV on Microsoft Edge

When I try to access my surveillance cameras on Microsoft Edge it requests I download the WebKit Plugin which doesn't download.  I have tried changing settings on both Microsoft Edge and Chrome and still have the same problem.  I also tried to use Internet Explorer in Windows 10 and it doesn't work either. VERY FRUSTRATING!!!

Unfortunately, sometimes some systems and hardware devices are hard coded for a particular browser. I guess you just have to keep using Internet Explorer for the time being.

If you like using Edge, you could try changing the user agent string so the browser pretends to be internet Explorer for that particular web site.

Does the CCTV system indicate which web browsers are supported?

Webkit is normally associated with the Apple Safari browser.

What type of CCTV system are you using?

Hi! It is a Q-See 16 channel. I have had it for several years. I was finally able to open on the Windows 10 Internet Explorer App. Would be nice if it worked on Chrome or Microsoft Edge.
