HD-500 Display Dock - Is there a manual firmware update?

I have a meeting tomorrow and I am trying to use my display dock to showcase continuum and the Lumia 950 XL. I tested last week and all was well. I set up this morning and was prompted to install 4.0.0 update. I installed the update and no video since. I think I may have disconnected the device prematurely as I misread the statement to disconnect and reconnect power as disconnect and reconnect device.

Device seems to be connecting properly to the display dock. But no video. I assume that I can somehow do a manual firmware update on this item. There is just really no information related to this on the web.

UPDATE**

I went out and bought another Display Dock. The issue is the same with this one. Monitor(s) do not recognize the phone. I have tried hooking it up in various ways. PC recognizes the device fine when I plug it in. Display Dock recognizes the device, light goes white, but monitor does not. I have reset the phone with the desktop app and have just reset the phone by itself each multiple times today. No progress. I may be forced to give up on this. What a shame.

    This is why i hate microsoft so much..... you buy a product that cant be updated without the phone? Who comes up with all these idea's?

    Hi! It will be great if hd-500 would work with android or apple MacBook with type-c.... Is it possible or not, what do you think? Thx a lot.

    My HD500 never worked, not even once. My 950XL started to malfunction so I switched to a Samsung Note 8.

    It will take a lot to convince me to buy Microsoft hardware again.

    I bought the HD-500 thinking about using the Samsung DeX.  Before receiving it, I came across this problem.  I hope it works.  If it doesn't work, I'll test on the Surface I have.  I leave you informed.  I agree with everyone: Microsoft has a bad habit of abandoning things and customers.

    Comprei o HD-500 pensando em usar o Samsung DeX. Antes de recebê-lo, me deparei com este problema. Eu espero que ele funcione. Se nao funcionar, testarei no Surface que tenho. Deixo voces informados. Concordo com todos: a Microsoft tem o péssimo habito de abandonar as coisas e os clientes.
