HOW DO  I UPGRADE  FROM   WIN  7  TO  WIN   8,  FREE ???

There is no free upgrade from 7 > 8/8.1.

And Windows 8 is no longer supported; 8.1 is until 2023.

You will have to contact MS support and they may be able to assist you with a free upgrade to 10..
